SKI CLINICS
For the 2024-2025 season, the following ski clinics are being offered from coach Alison O’Hara. All locations are TBD based on weather and grooming. Each clinic is limited to 8 participants. Skis are available to rent from Homer Saw and Cycle or Cyclelogical.
First Time Classic Skiers: DATE TBD
Great one time clinic for those completely new to nordic skiing. You'll learn how to move on skis, how to safely navigate up and down hills and how to choose trails for skiing on your own. Participants will need to provide a pair of waxless (fishscale) classic skis about your height, a pair of poles armpit to shoulder height and comfortable boots. $25
First time Skate Skiers: DATE TBD
Now’s your chance to give skate skiing a whirl! We'll cover all the basics of skate skiing to get you gliding down the trails. Bring skate skis, boots and poles that hit just above your upper lip. $25
Beginner’s Classic Clinic: DATE TBD
Have you recently tried classic skiing and would like to learn more? This Beginner level class is aimed to help grow your skills at gliding faster and more efficiently down the trail, hill climbing and downhill techniques. $50
Beginner’s Skate Clinic: DATE TBD
Have you recently learned to skate ski but are finding you need some more helpful tips? This Beginner level class is aimed at developing skills as a new skate skier to give you a little more confidence. We'll work on hill climbing technique, skating on the flats and exploring the thrill of going downhills safely. $50

Intermediate Skate Clinic: DATE TBD
This class will incorporate a variety of drills specifically designed to improve technique and balance. We’ll work on refining V1 (uphill) skiing, improving balance in V2, exploring efficient terrain transitions, downhills and cornering, skiing smoothly and effortlessly. Lots of individual technique analysis and opportunities for improvement. Participants should feel comfortable on skate skis and able to ski gentle terrain such as the hayfields at Lookout Mountain. $25
